We are searching for a Functional Safety Engineer to lead a global interdisciplinary team through the development of safe Lithium-Ion Battery Packs for Automotive Applications. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You define and implement a functional safety concept with safety goals and safety cases according to ISO 26262 for our Lithium-Ion Battery Packs for Automotive Applications
• You plan and coordinate the functional safety activities with project managers, engineering team, suppliers, and customers in order to achieve the safety goals and ensure ISO process conformance
• Coordinate the ASIL decomposition into functional ownership of requirements
• Organize and moderate technical reviews, audits, and safety assessments
• You analyse and evaluate safety related requirements and derive system design measures in close collaboration with corresponding stakeholders
• You are the interface with the customers and suppliers for functional safety

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a University Degree in Electronics/Software or related field
• You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry and 2 years experience in the area of functional safety 
• You are experienced in working with safety standards like ISO 26262
• You have Knowledge and experience with quality standards (ISO/IEC 15504, Automotive SPICE) 
• You are a TÜV certified Automotive Functional Safety Engineer or hold a similar qualification
• Fluent English knowledge in written and spoken form, German, Chinese and/or Turkish language skills as a plus
